The brain’s power to adapt: Neuroplasticity & MS

Your brain has the remarkable ability to learn, adapt, and change — and movement plays a powerful role in that process.

Discover how neuroplasticity works and how you can use its principles to make exercise more purposeful and effective.

Learn how specificity, repetition, attention, and challenge influence motor learning, and explore practical ways to apply these concepts to improve strength, balance, coordination, and functional mobility while living with MS.

Includes workshop replay + additional resources and helpful links

Is this workshop for you?

Are you exercising with purpose — or just going through the motions?

Maybe you've heard that exercise can help promote neuroplasticity, but you're not quite sure what that actually means.

Maybe you're doing exercises regularly but wondering whether you're challenging yourself enough, practicing the right movements, or making meaningful progress.

The good news? You don't need a special "neuroplasticity exercise" to encourage your nervous system to learn and adapt.

It's how you practice that matters.

In this workshop, we'll break down the science of neuroplasticity and explore practical ways to apply these principles to everyday movement and exercise — especially when living with MS.

in this workshop, you’ll learn about:

  • Why foot drop happens

  • When strengthening can help-and when it may not

  • Stretching and mobility considerations

  • AFOs and bracing options

  • Functional electrical stimulation (FES)

  • Gait strategies

  • Newer technology and treatment options

  • How to determine which approaches may be appropriate for you
